Can’t you hear the children crying?
Do you not see their tears?
In their eyes you can read their fears
Of sorrow and suffering too gruesome for their years.
Every day there are children dying
From booze and drugs which they are buying.
Shattered dreams in the graves are lying –
Come on child, LIVE! Why aren’t you even trying?
Hear their groans, feel their pain!
To ignore them is inhumane.
Their extinction would be our loss
So we must protect them at all costs.
Can’t you hear their silent call?
Please…someone answer – don’t let them fall.
It’s our duty, one and all,
To teach them pride; help them stand tall.
Love them: don’t abuse them.
Listen: don’t accuse them.
Guidance: don’t refuse them.
Save them or we will lose them.
Hear the children.
