Anatomy of Woman: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!

After watching a clip of a young man in a gym encouraging a young lady who felt her abdomen was always bloated and fat, I was encouraged by his words of wisdom. He explained to her where her uterus was in relation to the stomach and intestines. When she eats, the food in the intestines pushes out her abdomen, because there is now less space. So, she may “feel” bloated, but she is not bloated, nor fat.

In fact, he proceeded to tell her that what she said was her gut that would not go down, was her womb. It is the most advanced, amazing part of the human body. He told her that she should not feel embarrassed but feel great about it. What she called a bump was in fact a blessing.

The smile that spread across her face was priceless! What that young man just dropped were gems, jewels that lifted not only the young woman, but I am sure, all those who watched, especially the women regardless of age!

That got me to thinking about the unique anatomy of a woman who is crafted by God!

Intentionally! Fearfully!! Wonderfully!!! Made in God’s Image and Likeness.

Furthermore, this pushed me to look at the images of the anatomy of the woman. She has organs that the man does not have – uterus including the fallopian tubes and ovaries.

Because of the internal organs unique to us, there are #painpoints that we experience that are puzzling to men because they lack specific organs that make us uniquely female. The men have nothing in their anatomy as a point of reference to help them to relate to our pain: the menstrual pain and the PMS, ovarian pain, and pelvic organ inflammation. They have no weapon in their arsenal that they can wield against any enemy on behalf of the women in their lives.

Oh, let’s not forget during pregnancy the morning sickness, the strange cravings, the labor pangs, and the delivery. Then later in life the menopause in all its many facets.

Here it is that men have been given a divine assignment from God to fix things, cultivate, build, serve, protect, and provide.

They don’t know how to alleviate the pain and FIX the issues we go through, and yet it is GOD who called them to care for their families and loved ones. And they may feel helpless or confused, when they are literraly doing the best that they can.

Ladies!

Let us be gentle to ourselves, yes.

More importantly, let us be gentle on the men (regardless of their ages) that God has placed in our lives who are really holding it down, carrying us on their shoulders, on their backs, in their arms.

Come on, ladies. Level up!

Pray for them, all day every day. More importantly, use words to heal not tear down.

As I use to teach my elementary and middle school children when I worked in Overtown and Liberty City in Miami, Florida: Our hands are for helping not hurting. Our lips are for healing not hurting.

Heal our families and heal our world, looking to God who created families for His guidance and love!
