During any day of the year, but especially this time of year when the birth of Jesus is supposedly celebrated, overshadowed by #commercialism and greedy, grubby hands reaching and grabbing for empty toys and trinkets and even relationships that are soon discarded….. because they don’t fill or satisfy the emptiness of a VOID that can only be filled by EloHIM, by God HIMself!
Here’s a thought:
humanity was formed from the earth, the dust, the clay of the ground.
Genesis 1:1 states that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth 🌎.
But by the time you read verse 2, it states that the earth was without form and VOID. Notice that there was no void in the heavens….
Something happened between those two verses, a conversation reserved for another day.
Suffice it to say, that in the midst of the darkness, death, doom and devastation that was on the earth, God spoke and recreated things back into existence. It was not a new earth, but a recreated one, this time placing upon the scene HUMANITY who had not previously been seen in the heavenly realms by angelic or demonic entities.
He placed humanity on the earth after the chaos created by lucifer.
God placed male and female whom He made in His own Image and Likeness, giving them a kingdom on the earth with a mandate to be fruitful, to multiply, REplenish the earth and to have dominion over every living thing, except each other.
This is why #slavery has always been an abomination to God. The evil enacted by people upon another human being is diabolical, which is why the enslaved will always rebel and resist slavery, because within the DNA of every person is their God-given right to walk out purpose as God first intended.
I chuckle at the intentionality of God when He created Mankind and placed them in Eden.
The hosts of heaven and the fallen angels must have wondered. “What is this? Mere mortals to subjugate the earth. This makes no sense.” The fallen angels must have seethed with anger and envy, and set out to deceive, steal, kill and destroy God’s created creation.
God didn’t reveal His plan to anyone or any being. He didn’t need permission.
But, in the FULLNESS OF TIME…. Jesus appeared on the scene. Deity wrapped in humanity.
Emmanuel. God with us.
He literally moved into our neighborhood, became one of us but without sin. Then He fulfilled #redemption song, the song of #freedom
Wow! What a love that God lavished upon us. Jesus = both Giver and Gift!
