I woke up a few minutes before 3 am from a dream where I was reading a beautiful letter penned to me by my Heavenly Father.
It was written across the blue sky, in large black letters against puffy clouds. Its contents were sweet, bold, encouraging and filled with instructions. Nothing overwhelming but letting me know that I can and will complete His purpose and plan for my life.
I got out of bed and walked into my living room, and the wall mural jumped out at me. My gaze focused on the open door. The door is opened outward to the ocean. To the left is a white wooden lounge chair where I may sit and bask in Abba’s presence, receiving His love, where I may download His blueprint for me and those connected to me.
Then the Lord said to me “I have set before you an open door.”
I have set…. I have set.
These three words lingered and led me to the scriptures.
“I have set before you an open door and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and has kept my word, and hast not denied my name” (Revelation 3: 7-13).
In the midst of accusations and betrayal, in wanting desperately for others to see me as God sees me but they don’t, because they are not supposed to since they did not create me nor can they dictate what His purpose and plan are for my life, I can say boldly like David did in Psalm 16:8 – “I have set the Lord always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”
I am reminded of God’s promise in Genesis 9:13 – “I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.” Centuries later, since the global flood, God has kept His word to the earth and to all who live here including humans, animals, birds, marine life and every creeping thing. He promised to never destroy the earth by water. Great is His Faithfulness to every one of us, whether we believe in Him or whether we choose to deny His existence. Wow, what a love!
Like it was prophesied in Isaiah 50:7 of Jesus, I am resolved unwaveringly. “For the Lord GOD will help me, therefore shall I not be confounded; therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”
I have been given an assignment which I take seriously as a watchman and prayer warrior, naturally and supernaturally, watching and praying while others sleep, interceding relentlessly, working shifts that most people do not want, securing windows and doors, even cybersecurity and making sure the firewalls are up to avoid any type of hacking. Praying and asking Abba for directions and instructions, and then doing the work to repair the breaches, to rebuild and restore, strategically, the Operations of the mission and mandate upon my life, working tirelessly behind the scenes, very much aware of the enemies’ tactics, often flying under the radar without detection, quietly, stealthily and without notice.
Ezekiel 33:7 – So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
I recognize that I have been set apart, not set aside and forgotten, but chosen by God’s Sovereign Hand, a peculiar treasure unto Him. I accept that I was not born to fit in, but to stand out! (Deuteronomy 14:2, John 15:19, John 17:15-19, Romans 12:2, Ephesians 2:10).
I recognize that before I was even formed in my mother’s womb, God sanctified and ordained me with a purpose. (Jeremiah 1:5-10).
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
It is God who made me beautiful, with His divine purpose to expand His Kingdom. I must fulfill it unhesitatingly, unapologetically.
