SHINE! (May 2021)

Ever had a day where you “felt” insignificant and God divinely orchestrated a word of encouragement?

For me it was via text from unexpected person as we discussed business opportunity and the launching of my new website.

**********

Me: I am learning how to market myself (and my books) and talk more about the other things that I do, especially since my tendency is to stay in the background.

VC: No don’t! Always shine .. because people need great inspiration.. and I see that with Prince he is very graceful and calming when he speaks.. I see and can tell as a parent that you instilled a lot of great respect and raised him in a great way.. I have 4 children and I know how hard it is, and I recognize this… shine!! Shine !! Always.

Thanks VC. You inspired me even more to step out of the shadows, out from the background where I tend to hide, where it feels safer.

Shine; shining brilliantly!

Like gold which has been refined under intense heat.

Shine, shining brilliantly!

Like diamonds, which have endured great pressure.

I shine brilliantly, with no explanation as to why I should be allowed to shine.

I…Shine. I have been buffed and polished. My purpose then is to shine.

I Shine with a Sheen that is marvelously magnificent and spectacularly splendiferous.

Shine. I have been given a mandate by God Almighty to Let your light so SHINE before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven!

Shine. In the Greek, the word for shine is lam’-po which means “to beam, radiate brilliantly, give light, shine.”

In the King James Version of the Holy Bible, the word SHINE is mentioned 49 times. Nine of those times are found in the book of Job, the main character of whom God allowed Satan to buffet and cause to suffer many trials, temptations, losses and even the deaths of his children.

Through it all, Job triumphed and shone brightly. After all, at the onset, God already had faith in Job, of whom He spoke these words twice (Job 1:8 and Job 2:3):

Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and eschews (avoids, runs from) evil? And still he holds fast his integrity, although thou moved me against him, to destroy him without cause.

I have inserted by own name in the above scripture. Hast thou considered my servant TRACY?

God was not the source or cause of Job’s problems. In the same way, God is not the source of our problems. He loves us and is always with us. So, hold on to your faith and shine in all that you do.

Here are some of my favorite bible verses that speak about shining. Be encouraged and walk out your purpose.

Shine!

Numbers 6:25 The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee.

Job 11:17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Psalm 31:16 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that #shines more and more unto the perfect day.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

Daniel 9:17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Matthew 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to #shine out of darkness, hath #shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye #shine as lights in the world.

Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to #shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
